As I have shared with you before, your CV is a powerful tool in many arenas and using it to build your practice is as simple as it gets. Once your CV has been created online, you need to create a flyer for your patients. That flyer should simply read:
Main Street Chiropractic Office
First N. Last DC
1234 Main Street, Anytown, NY 12345
Phone: (716) 681-9242
Fax: (716) 681-9239
DrLast@gmail.com
DR. LAST’S ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS
We are proud to share with you Dr. Last’s curriculum vitae so that you may learn about the professional who is caring for you. Since this document changes frequently as a result of Dr. Last continually taking post-doctoral courses to stay current with the latest technology and research, we have posted his/her curriculum vitae online, so you can review the most up-to-date version.
DIRECTIONS:
To access Dr. Last’s curriculum vitae, go to www.USChiroDirectory.com and click on “USA Map Locator” on the top toolbar. Then click on our state. Scroll down to Dr. Last and click on “View Doctors Credentials” under the address listing on the left.
The curriculum vitae will open for you.
This type of simple communication is a very powerful motivator. There are services in the medical field that charge the public too much money to get doctors' credentials and they are very successful because the public WANTS your information. Once your patients have this information and a way to access it, they WILL share it with their friends and family. In fact, yesterday, we tracked a doctor who did this and he had over 50 hits on his CV in a very short amount of time.
This is called free advertising at the highest level. The old-time ads of “neck and back pain” are so yesterday that people do not even see them anymore. The public wants information and you can create an army of marketers if you give them the right tools. Your CV is something powerful and information that people want and will be not only viewed, but seen.
You have the tools to win and many of you are starting to use the CV Builder to post your CV. This is the biggest no-brainer in the world. It’s free, it will get you new patients and it will position you to get new patients for all of the right reasons; because you are the best at what you do and an expert in your field, as evidenced by your credentials. That is the single most powerful reason for patients, lawyers and other professionals to seek you out.
In a conference in February, 2010 in New Jersey, I asked a prominent MD what is his criteria for choosing a chiropractor to refer his patients to were and his answer was the same as every other MD I have asked nationwide in teaching across the country; formal credentials.
You have a powerful tool to win...USE IT!
