Douglas DeSalvo, DC, QME, BCN is a California State-Appointed Qualified Medical Evaluator and Independent Disability Examiner with Board Certification in Neuropathy (BCN) and advanced training in Automobile Crash Injuries and Brain Injury Traumatology through the Spine Research Institute of San Diego — an organization that recognizes its physicians as elite practitioners in automobile crash trauma. He holds a Diplomate designation from the American Academy of Medical Legal Professionals. Dr. DeSalvo earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in 1986 with academic honors, with a curriculum grounded in anatomy, biomechanics, human physiology, diagnostic imaging, chiropractic adjusting techniques, and physiotherapy. He holds a California state X-ray operating permit and a California Fluoroscopy Operator Permit, authorizing on-site radiology and fluoroscopic imaging services, and has completed extensive post-graduate education in radiology and MRI interpretation. His diagnostic imaging team includes both medical and chiropractic radiologists to ensure the highest standard of interpretive care. Dr. DeSalvo is credentialed through the University at Buffalo School of Medicine to award Continuing Education credit to medical doctors and nurses, and is certified by the New York State Department of Education, Board of Chiropractic, in postdoctoral MRI spine interpretation and personal injury trauma. He has been recognized by the Academy of Chiropractic as a Clinician of Excellence and received the Certificate of Merit from New York Chiropractic College. His clinical achievements include being named Best Chiropractor in Marin County 2025 by Marin Magazine, Sonoma\'s Best Chiropractor by Sonoma Magazine readers in 2018, and Best Chiropractor in Marin County by Bohemian Magazine readers in 2015, along with recognition in numerous additional publications. Dr. DeSalvo is a Certified Zone Technique practitioner and has cared for more than 10,000 patients since 1987. Additional certifications include Certified Acute Homeopath, Industrial Safety Consultant, and Board Certification by the American Chiropractic Council of Infrared Imaging.
